5.1.7. Fuel pump

Prevention

During the work on fuel system it is necessary to take off previously pressure in system.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove back sitting.
3. Remove by means of the lever a plastic covering of a floor for access to the pump.
4. Remove the electric socket from the fuel pump (2) (3 – the giving hose, 4 – a returnable hose).
5. Note hoses for identification, then weaken collars, remove hoses and muffle them traffic jams.
6. Put tags on the fuel tank, a cover of the pump and a ring then unscrew a ring, rotating it counterclockwise.
7. Lift a pump cover, then, being careful, take the fuel pump and rubber ring consolidation.
8. The fuel pump as spare parts is delivered as the non-demountable block. Therefore at failure it is replaced completely.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Being careful, insert the pump into the fuel tank that a tag on a pump cover, the fuel tank and a ring were combined. Reliably fix the pump by a ring.
2. Connect fuel hoses to the fuel pump according to earlier put marking and fix them by collars.
3. Connect the electric socket.
4. Connect the negative plug of the accumulator and start the engine. Check operability of the fuel pump and reliability of connection of fuel hoses.
5. Establish a plastic covering of a floor and back sitting.
