8.1.4. Hummock drive of gear shifting (ML5T transmission)

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the case of the air filter.
2. Remove the central console.
3. In a motor compartment remove by means of the lever two spherical hinged connections (A) of a cable from selector levers on the transmission. Remove two brackets (V) of fastening of a cover of a cable of the transmission.
4. Lift a forward part of the car and record on supports.
5. Remove system of production of the fulfilled gases and thermofilters.
6. In interior of the car remove sound-proof laying and unscrew the bolts fixing a lever casing to a floor. Disconnect brackets of fastening of cables and remove a lever casing with cables from under the car.

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER
Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal, taking into account the next moments:
      – check that sound-proof laying is correctly placed;
      – check correctness of installation of cables on the selector lever: spherical hinged connection with a diameter of 13 mm connects to the top lever, and spherical hinged connection with a diameter of 10 mm – to the side lever;
      – install thermofilters, the exhaust system, the case of the air filter and the central console.
