5.2.8. Fuel pump of high pressure Bosch
Prevention
Be careful that dirt did not get to the fuel pump or the pipeline of high pressure during the work on the fuel pump. Also it is always necessary to use new consolidation.
Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Disconnect the negative plug of the accumulator. |
2. Remove air inlet pipes for improvement of access to the fuel pump. |
3. Take off an auxiliary driving belt. |
4. Remove the top casing of a gear belt. |
5. Remove hoses from the vacuum regulator at an end face of the fuel pump of high pressure. |
6. Remove an accelerator cable from the fuel pump of high pressure. |
7. Note situation and remove a cable of the accelerated idling turns from the lever of the fuel pump of high pressure. |

8. Disconnect the giving fuel-supply line and muffle it the corresponding stopper (it is specified by shooters). |

9. To the place of the removed fuel hose establish a bolt (it is specified by an arrow) for a dirt hit exception. |
10. Disconnect a returnable fuel-supply line and muffle it the corresponding stopper. |

11. Disconnect all wires from the fuel pump (it is specified by an arrow). |
12. Unscrew the nuts of fastening of pipes connecting pipes of nozzles to the fuel pump of high pressure. Remove pipes and protect them from dirt hit. |
Prevention
The ideal way to prevent hit of dirt in open fuel-supply lines and connections consists in cutting off fingers from surgical rubber gloves, to put on them pipelines and to fix by elastic bands.

13. For a pulley of the crankshaft turn the crankshaft in the direction of rotation of the engine until two openings under a bolt in a pulley of the fuel pump of high pressure are combined with corresponding to openings in the engine. The engine will easier turn if to unscrew glow plugs. |

14. Insert two bolts of M8 through openings in a pulley of the fuel pump. These bolts will hold a pulley when the fuel pump of high pressure is removed, thus it is not necessary to take off a gear belt of the drive. |

15. Note position of the fuel pump of high pressure concerning an installation suspension bracket, using a chertilka or a felt-tip pen (the tag is specified by an arrow). It will guarantee that the moment of injection of fuel will be kept at installation on the former place. |
16. Unscrew three forward nuts of fastening of the pump. Unscrew and remove a back nut and a bolt, noting an arrangement of washers, and support the fuel pump on a bar. |
17. Separate a pulley of the fuel pump from a pump shaft. |
18. Being careful, remove the pump. |

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Establish into place a segment spline on a pump shaft. |
2. Install the pump into place and support on a bar, as in the course of removal. |
3. Establish a pulley on a shaft of the fuel pump. |
4. Combine the tags made on the pump and a suspension bracket of installation before removal. Establish and slightly tighten nuts and a bolt of fastening of the pump. |
5. Determine the moment of injection of the fuel pump. |
6. Establish and repeatedly tighten the pipelines connecting the fuel pump to nozzles. |
7. Connect the giving and returnable fuel hoses. |
8. Connect a cable of the increased idling turns to the pump lever. |
9. Establish and adjust an accelerator cable. |
10. Connect hoses to the vacuum regulator. |
11. Establish the top casing of a gear belt. |
12. Establish an auxiliary driving belt. |
13. Establish air inlet pipes. |
14. Connect the negative plug of the accumulator. |
15. Remove air from fuel system. |
16. Start the engine and check adjustments of the fuel pump of high pressure. |
