3.3.10. Removal of the crankshaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a pulley of the crankshaft and the oil pump.
2. Remove pistons and rods. If pistons and rods are not exposed to repair, then there is no need to remove a head of the block of cylinders.
3. Check an axial side play of the crankshaft.
4. Weaken and unscrew bolts of fastening and uncover forward oil consolidation (from a gear belt), together with laying (in the drawing removal of a forward cover from the block of cylinders on XU and XUD engines is shown).
5. Remove a chain of the drive of the oil pump, shift the leading asterisk and laying since the end of the crankshaft.
6. Remove a segment spline and you store it together with an asterisk.
7. Mark covers of radical bearings from 1 to 5 (places of marking are specified by shooters). The cover No. 1 is located from a flywheel. Also pay attention to the established depth of back consolidation of the crankshaft.
8. On petrol engines 1.6 and 1.8 of liter unscrew two bolts (one on the forward party of the block and one behind) fastenings of the central cover of bearings to the block.
9. On all engines unscrew and uncover radical bearings (the arrow showed an arrangement of a persistent half ring). Also remove the persistent half rings located from two parties of a cover of the radical bearing No. 2.
10. Remove the crankshaft and remove back oil consolidation of the crankshaft. In the drawing removal of the crankshaft of XU and XUD engines is specified.
11. Remove the top inserts of radical bearings, the top persistent half rings from two parties of the radical bearing No. 2.
