3.3.5. Removal and installation of a head of the block of cylinders

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a cam-shaft and pushers.
2. Remove inlet and final collectors.
3. Remove a pulley of the fuel pump of high pressure.
4. Unscrew bolts and remove an engine mount from a forward part of the engine.
5. Remove the remained electrical wiring, hoses and elements of their support connected with a head of the block of cylinders.
6. Gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders as it should be, the return shown on rice. Sequence of tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders. Take bolts together with washers.
7. Separate a head of the block of cylinders from the block of cylinders, using for this purpose two metal cores from the ends bent under 90 ° and established in an opening for bolts of fastening of a head.
8. Remove a head of the block of cylinders from the block and remove laying.

Preparation for installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear the interfaced surfaces of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders.
2. Check a condition of the interfaced surfaces of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders for existence рисок, scratches and other damages. If defects superficial, remove them with grinding, otherwise replacement of a detail is necessary.

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Carefully wipe the surfaces of interface of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders. Check that two directing pins are in the nests in the block of cylinders.
2. Install new laying of a head of the block of cylinders on the block of cylinders.
3. Install a head of the block of cylinders on the block of cylinders.
4. Grease a carving part and a reverse side of heads of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders with means of Molykote Rapid Plus or any high-quality material.
5. Smoothly establish each bolt in the opening and screw up it a hand.
6. Gradually and in the specified sequence (see rice. The sequence of tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders) tighten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders the required moment.
7. Using a special template, repeatedly tighten bolts on the required corner.
8. Other actions for installation are made in the sequence, the return to removal.
9. After installation of the engine on the car start the engine and warm up it until the fan of the cooling system turns on at least two times. Switch off the engine and cool it 3,5 hours. Then uncover a head of the block of cylinders, take off residual pressure in the cooling system, deleting a cover of a broad tank, and tighten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders as follows.
10. Gradually and in the sequence shown on rice. The sequence of tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders, weaken one each bolt of fastening, tighten each bolt the required moment and tighten on the required corner.
11. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and a stopper of a broad tank of the cooling system.
