All messages concerning operating modes of the radio tape recorder are output to the central display of the control panel of the car.
The coded device against theft
The device is executed on the basis of the microprocessor. After disconnection of the autoradio tape recorder from the car power supply network (removal of the accumulator, dismantle of the radio tape recorder or its initial installation) it is necessary to enter a safety code. The radio tape recorder will be able to be switched on only after input of the correct code.

Case of input of an incorrect code
If at input of a code the mistake was made, the short signal of low tone will be distributed. On the display the message "ERR CODE" will appear. Repetition of attempt of input of a code is possible only after a pause 1 minute. Duration of the period of expectation increases twice after one more unsuccessful attempt. This period is limited for about 32 minutes. Switching off of the radio tape recorder does not influence duration of an obligatory pause. Counting of time of a pause will be started over again at turning on of the radio tape recorder. After the termination of a pause on the display the message of "CODE" will appear. Now it is possible to enter a code.
The indicator 24 of red color blinks at the included ignition, indicating turning on of the protection device against theft. The indicator dies away at inclusion of ignition or the radio tape recorder.
After a detachment or repeated connection of the accumulator on the display of the radio tape recorder the message of "CODE" is displayed. Enter a code.
Radio receiver
All main functions which are carried out by the radio receiver are similar to the autoradio tape recorder 4030. Besides, the following functions are added:
Scanning of previously chosen radio stations. The radio tape recorder provides a possibility of scanning of six previously chosen stations in any of ranges. In the course of scanning of radio stations it is possible to stop the choice on one of them.
Scanning of previously chosen radio stations working in one range. Choose the range which you wish to scan. Briefly press the SCN 22 button. When scanning all previously chosen radio stations working in this range serially join. Sequence is defined by order of the cells of memory assigned to buttons 1-6. Scanning begins with radio station which is brought in a cell of memory of the button 1, or from the radio station following for chosen at present. The approximate duration of listening of each station (THAT mode is switched off) makes:
– five seconds at high quality of reception;
– about one second at a weak radio signal.
The approximate duration of listening of each station (THAT mode is included) makes:
– five seconds for the radio stations capable to transfer road messages;
- about one second for the radio stations not capable to transfer road messages.
The choice of radio station during scanning. Briefly press the SCN 22 button during listening of the pleasant radio station to leave the radio receiver adjusted on this station. The order of setup of the radio receiver for previously chosen radio stations does not change.
Scanning interruption. For interruption of scanning of previously chosen radio stations:
– choose any radio station;
– choose any function, except included by the TA/AF 12 button.
Player of audio cassettes
Search of the beginning of record in a pause. This function allows to begin reproduction of the current record with the beginning or the subsequent record on a tape. This function is based on searches of pauses between records. Search of the beginning of record can also be carried out by means of the lever of remote control on a steering column.
Search of the beginning of the previous record. For search of the beginning of the current record press the button 18. In the course of search of the beginning of record the sound is disconnected and on the display the message of "PREV 1" After finding of the beginning of record is displayed reproduction is resumed. This function can be also included by means of the lever of remote control. N-fold pressing of the button 18 leads to transition to the beginning (n-1) - й records, considering from current. At the same time on the display the message of "PREV n" is displayed. During search of the beginning of the necessary record the sound is disconnected, and transitions from the beginning of one record by the beginning another are reflected in the display. After finding of the beginning of the necessary record reproduction is resumed. By each pressing of the button 18 value n on the display increases by unit.
Search of the beginning of the following record. For search of the beginning of the following record press the button 20. In the course of search of the beginning of record the sound is disconnected and on the display the message of "NEXT 1" is displayed. After finding of the beginning of record reproduction is resumed. This function can be also included by means of the lever of remote control on a steering column. N-fold pressing of the button 20 leads to transition to the beginning of n-y of record, considering from current. At the same time on the display the message of "NEXT n" is displayed. During search of the beginning of the necessary record the sound is disconnected, and transitions from the beginning of one record by the beginning another are reflected in the display. After finding of the beginning of the necessary record reproduction is resumed. By each pressing of the button 20 value n on the display increases by unit.
Scanning of records. Function of scanning allows to listen quickly to initial fragments of all records on the audio cassette. Scanning is based on use of pauses between records. Briefly press the SCN/RDM 22 button to start scanning. At the same time on the display the message of "SCAN" will be displayed. The player will reproduce 10 second initial fragments of all records on the audio cassette, since record which follows current. For the scanning termination repeatedly briefly press the SCN/RDM 22 button. Reproduction will begin with record on which scanning was interrupted.
CD player
Scanning of a compact disk. Briefly press the SCN/RDM 22 button. At the same time each path of a compact disk will be lost within ten seconds. On the display the message of "SC [number of a path]" is given. For the scanning termination once again briefly press the button "SCN/RDM" 22. Reproduction of a compact disk will be continued from a path which was lost at the time of scanning cancellation.
Reproduction of records in a casual order. Press the button "SCN/RDM" 22 and hold it not less than two seconds. Inclusion of the mode of reproduction of records in a casual order confirms a short sound signal. Reproduction begins with that disk to which you listened at the time of inclusion of this mode. At first the CD player reproduces all records of the current compact disk in a casual order, then passes to the following compact disks. After exhaustion of all stock of compact disks in disk shop the CD player comes back to the first compact disk. At reproduction of records in a casual order on the display the message of "RD [number of a path] of CD" and number of the lost compact disk is constantly given. [Number of a path] defines the provision of record on a compact disk. For cancellation of the mode of reproduction of records in a casual order repeatedly press the SCN/RDM 22 button and hold it not less than two seconds.
